In self-defense classes, students learn how to protect themselves. They can also establish self-awareness and awareness of potentially dangerous situations, improve self-discipline, develop self-confidence, improve fitness and develop physical skills with hands on experience. Self-defense not only allows children to tangibly defend themselves against physical attacks, it also sparks various benefits to them in everyday life. Important values and principles can be learned, such as hard work, dedication, and perseverance, as well as the importance of maintaining personal relationships.
The techniques learnt by the students are from Mixed Martial Arts where we emphasize the importance of effective striking, effective submission and control.
The training schedule in school is as follows :
Std. 5 to 9 and Std. 11 every Thursday.
Every year students demonstrate their skills by putting up a great show on sports day to during the Annual Athletic week.
