PTA (Parent-Teacher Association)

The JNS - PTA was established in October 1979 and stands today as a model parent-teacher association that has worked in close cooperation with the school management to supplement and enhance the academic and non-academic resources of the school.

It plays an important  role in promoting and developing life - long skills in students, parents and teachers. Over the years the JNS - PTA has worked harmoniously, maintaining positive contacts between parents and teachers and among parents themselves to ensure the substantial molding of the students and making 'effective parenting' possible.

The JNS - PTA conducts a number of interesting events right through the academic year, some of which are as follows :

• Celebration of the 'Teachers' Day' and the felicitation of the retiring staff members.
• The Raas Garba during the Navratri festival.
• "Appreciation Day" for the grandparents.
• The fun filled 'Anand Mela'.
• The Bonsai and Flower & Plant Show.
• Seminars, talks, group discussions and symposia for parents and children on several issues of prime importance, aimed at raising confident students and zealous parents.
• Donation of textbooks and stationery to NGOs.
• The JNS - PTA has also gifted generously in upgrading the infrastructure of the school by providing fans and glass boards for some of the classes, harmonium, synthesizers, 2 copier machines, microphones in every foyer and books to the voluminous school library and class libraries.
  

The Parent - Teacher Association believes that a strong positive partnership between parents and teachers is essential to promote effective schooling. Parents are encouraged to inquire for and suggest programs that would benefit the students.
