1971 Inauguration of the school - ICSE & SSC.
Started the Health Care Unit.
1977 Change-over of SSC classes to ICSE.
1978 First issue of the school magazine titled 'SPAND'.
1979 Inception of Parent-Teacher Association.
1983 Inception of Jamnabai Narsee Alumni Association.
1984 First issue of SMRUTI - the directory of Std X.
1987
  • Celebration of the Centenary Year of Shri Narsee Monjee.
  • Started the Shri Narsee Monjee Antarshaleya Hindi Vaktrutwa Spardha.
1989 Started the Staff Contingency Fund.
1992 Hosted the All India Conference of the Association of the Principals of ICSE Schools.
1993 Started the CASCADE Festival - organised by JNAA.
1996 Celebration of the Silver Jubilee Year.
1997 Establishment of the Reading Rooms in the Dixit Road Municipal School, Vile Parle, by PTA.
1999 Started the Dyslexia Awareness Programme.
2000 Inauguration of Life Enrichment Centre.
2002
  • Started Special Sports - hosted by Narsee Monjee Educational Trust.
  • Started NIOS Examination class.
2003 First issue of ‘Synapse’, the school newsletter.
2004 National Award For Teachers 2003 to Principal Ms.J.Vas by President Shri APJ Abdul Kalam.
2005 Inception of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

  • Celebration of Coral Jubilee - 35 years.
  • Launching the JNS Website.
  • First issue of the pre-school magazine ‘Ankur’.
  • First student publication of a book of essays ‘Nurture Nature For Our Future’.
  • Change of school infrastructure. Addition of 5th & 6th floors.
  • Started the Resource Centre for differently-abled students.

  • Inception of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education Programme -CHECKPOINT - Std 8.
