The Indian School Certificate Examination has been designed as an examination through the medium of English, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, after a two-year course of studies beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ICSE) or its equivalent.
Compulsory for all streams:
All candidates for the Pass Certificate must sit for English with three, four or five elective subjects for the Year 12 examination. The Jamnabai Narsee School candidates appear for four elective papers.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, conducts the ISC Examinations in the month of March each year.
Practical Work, Projects, Field Trips and Assignments will be evaluated as part of internal assessment.
Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) & Community Service:
Students will be internally evaluated in SUPW and Community Service, both of which are compulsory.
